November PP swap blocks for Julie
Julie was my November PP swap partner. OMG - I am so so so bad .Lesson learnt BIG time for me
Lesson- always check the pattern prints at "actual size" NOT "shrink to fit page". I have sent both blocks as maybe Julie can use the "wrong" one as a cushion cover or on the quilt back.

Unfinished size is 8 1/2", but I trimmed 2 x blocks larger just in case Encarna has any "undersized" blocks. In the mail tomorrow & flying to Spain.

Well ahead of time for Anna
Here is my Paper Pieced swap for Anna. When this swap started we were partners for the first month. I am still getting the same block " Hunters Star. " but Anna has changed and now is wanting a 12" Atlantic Seas block.. http://www.quilterscache.com/images52/atlanticseastemp.gif
I think I still need a lot of work on paper piecing. My points are not matching. I hope Anna likes this block. It took me ages to do. These are shades of black and grey with a background of white.

blog winding down
Hi ladies, the time has come for me to end the QBSA blogs, which is where it all began.
Since the introduction of the face book group I find many more members ( including myself) tend to chat and share photos on this form of social media than the blogs and it seems to have a far wider reach.
I myself find it hard to keep up with three group blogs, my own blog, the facebook page, my own face book page and the face book group, so have decided to wind down all three of the blogs.
So what does this mean for you?
If you are already an author on the blogs you are welcome to still post pictures and comments on there, but i will be encouraging all members to use the facebook page instead.
No new invites to post on any of the blogs will be issued to existing or new members so over time activity will die down.
if you dont have a link to the face book group PM me or email me and i will send you one as it is a closed group ( but not a secret group). All active swapping members of QBSA will receive the link and details of the changes in their next swap allocation email.
Quilted hugs

Kerry (my choice)
For Kerry!!!
Thanks so much for your patience!!!
a modified classic Red Cross Block.
Classic Mayflower Block
Hi I'm kelly and I am doing a Block a long for the vintage revival quilts books blogged about here I am now 30% along yah.... So I have used these blocks as inspiration as Kerry has requested makers choice grey with shades of jade, teals, turquoise, mint even bottle green.
I completely stuffed the top one but as it is makers choice I choose not to worry about the pattern and silly old right and wrong. lol oops which is why I tried again. I really liked the mayflower block but I'm sure that what we all like, the sharpness of the lines and simplicity. hope you like them Kerry.
This will actually be my last Swap and I would like to thank all who I have had swaps with and of course Sue who must spend so much time organising this whole thing. Great Job Sue.
I would like to alert all that I have a small contemporary online AU fabric shop at www.kelliottmagic.com and a Facebook group kelliottmagicFQS with specials on pre ordering new fabric lines mostly designer. These being reason I can't continue swapping. but I have to pay for my fabric obsession somehow!!
Thanks again ladies.. Signing off for now
They are in the mail Kerry, & please don't stop alerting me with those emails. you would not believe how much I spent today...

Flying Geese for Anna ................
This is my scrappy Circle of Flying Geese. Anna asked for subdued/muted/soft colours - hope I have achieved. By the time I was sewing the 4th panel the whole exercise of paper piecing was finally flowing.
