November blocks for Jenell

2 PARTNERS THIS MONTH

I have had time to sew this week so I went and did all my swaps as well as my local groups blocks.

I am up to date now.

Here is the first blocks I did. Atlantic Seas.

Unfortunately the first blocks points weren't too good so I had a bit of a practice and here are the results.

Then I continued on with the Heart Bows for Helen. 

These were fun to do. I think they have turned out well.

Chocolate cupcake

This month I really challenged myself with making this cupcake block for De. I had to re do the bottom half as my first attempt was a shambles, but once I got into the flow it all came together quite well.

Starburst for Julianne .......................

Julianne asked for a scrappy Starburst block. I did use the gold fabric for the very narrow round, to define the star, otherwise the pieces are a mix of dark and light, bright and subdued. When I look at the block I relate the fabrics to the projects in which I first used them.
